CEO says Lukoil redirects oil flows from Belarus to ports
DAVOS, Switzerland, Jan 23 (PRIME) -- Russian oil major Lukoil has rerouted the oil that should have flown to Belarus into the ports of Primorsk and Novorossiysk, CEO Vagit Alekperov told reporters on Thursday on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum.
“We will immediately start delivery (of oil to Belarus) as soon as the contracts are signed. So far, we’ve redirected it to Primorsk and Novorossiysk,” he said.
Russia stopped supplies of oil to Belarusian refineries on January 1 as Belarus and Russian companies failed to sign any contracts. Oil exports were restarted on January 4, but Minsk is yet to sign any fundamental contracts with Russian oil producers.
